Church History

CH 341 Church History I 3 hrs A survey of the history of the Christian church from its founding to the Middle Ages. Emphasis is placed upon the nature, purpose, structure and progress of the church. REQUIRED

CH 342 Church History II 3 hrs A continuation of CH 341, this course begins with the later Middle Ages and continues to the present. Special attention is given to the great revivals and to the history of movements which have dynamic forces in the church of Christ. REQUIRED

CH 351 History of the Reformation 3 hrs A study of the historical, political, social, economic and religious factors associated with the Reformation of the 16th century. Emphasis is placed upon the outstanding personalities of the Reformation and their contribution to the rediscovery of the message of justification by faith. Prerequisite: CH 341, CH 342. ELECTIVE
